Emily Bratti and Ian Somerville are sitting just out of the top three after finishing their rhythm dance with a score of 78.14 and Emilea Zingas and Vadym Kolesnik were right behind Bratti and Somerville with a score of 77.59.
The free dance results are always unpredictable as the potential for mistakes doubles in pairs competition much like the rhythm dance results. In free skate, the pairs will be judged on lifts (a maximum of three), a twist lift, a maximum of two throw jumps, a solo jump, a jump sequence, a pair spin, a death spiral and a step sequence.
Tune in Saturday afternoon to see if the Chock and Bates are able to hold onto the top spot or if one of the other pairs can pull off a big upset.
